"Does the Pages site allow for embedding? That may be the problem. Especially if you made sure that you copied the entire embedding code for your playlist."...

Typical feminist sour grapes! I find it rather interesting that you seem to have no qualms about the obvious questioning of the validity of the attributes of God. Is postmodern religious freedom such that one may orchestrate their own picture of 'God?'--and have no Biblical reference point whatsoever?

One question I can answer is your 'innuendo' that everything from respect of women to the care of the environment would have been different if Jesus had been a woman; apart from the obvious and offensive blasphemy, I can say that apart from the 'Jesus thing,' if the the world had been ruled by a matriarchal society, it would probably no longer exist. As a much older and more experienced woman, I can say with absolute certainty that women are far more destructive, malicious, conniving, heartless, cruel, uncaring, remorseless and unbelievably vicious than men ever thought of being--and those are the just the ones from the Christian community....

"We teach people how to treat us" didn't just suddenly come true when Dr. Phil said it.

In many ways I find being a woman embodies the values of Christ. It was radical for a male teacher to wash the feet of his disciples. It's expected that a woman will do so. It is radical for a man to turn the other cheek. It is expected that a woman will do so. It is radical for a man to go the extra mile. It is expected that even though a woman worked hard all day, she will get up in the middle of the night to care for a sick child or a crying infant. While not perfect, I believe that women have been the light of Christ for centuries before Jesus was born.

For me, Advent signifies the arrival of the bridegroom. It brings me hope that someday I will be husbanded in the most caring and loving manner; that my life is precious and worth the cost of his.

I will tell you one thing that would have been different, St. Paul would not have said:
<blockquote>Let the women keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the Law also says. If there is anything they desire to learn, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is a disgrace for a woman to speak in church.</blockquote>

This is a question I've pondered on and off myself. I think it's a terrific one, and you've raised some good points. Thank you so much!

I'm going to meditate on this during this Magnificat week.
