This is a wonderful blog site. I have already been back a couple of times within the last few days and want to sign up for your rss feed utilizing Google but find it difficult to understand the right way to do it exactly. Do you know of any instructions?

Renee,

I wandered over to your blog from a link on Minnowspeaks' blog. Thank you for sharing your heart. I'm encouraged by your honest insight, and you gave me a few giggles with your witty writing. I'd love to keep checking in, as long as you keep writing. You go girl.

For various reasons I have done a lot of soul searching in the last few weeks (starting with just trying to find my soul in all the chaos!) and I have realised that I have set my standards for myself so high that I am destroying myself. My biggest realisation was that I am doing this to myself- for sure we are pressured by what we see around us, but it's me that's trying to be super-mom super-wife super-cook super-student...How exhausting.
It is encouraging to know that we are not alone in the craziness, and that we must fight to find our glimmer of truth.
Thank you for such an honest article! From this stray and flea bitten dog in Cape Town :>)

Beautiful article, Renee, and it covers that sense of domestic inadequecy that I think a lot of us can relate to. We rail against the unrealistic portrayals of women on magazine covers that cause young (and sometimes not so young) women to suffer from depression and abuse the bodies God gave them, but we forget to take on the ridiculous notion that all women should somehow raise perfectly behaved children in homes that look like something out of Better Homes and Gardens, and that doing those things should make us wildly happy and fulfilled. In fact, if anything, I think the church does a lot to propogate that notion.

I've been there too, and I wish that I could be there in person to give you a hug!
